Art Instructors

Ellen has taught art to children from preschool through high school in a variety of settings. She enjoys working with toddlers and preschoolers because of their innate fascination with the world around them, spontaneity, and eagerness to explore and learn new skills. She relishes opportunities to be innovative and differentiate projects to meet the specific levels and learning styles of her students. Ellen earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Photographic Communications from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1997 and a Master of Fine Arts in Art Education from Case Western Reserve University in 2004.

Angela came to Thrive Arts with broad experience and study in the arts and art education. Her gentle, encouraging demeanor invites students to confidently try new things and create their own art. Before coming to Thrive, Angela owned and led Arts & Crafts stores in Dresden Germany where she sold art materials, hosted art shows, created her own artwork and taught art to children and adults. Angela and her husband moved to the United States in 2014 to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
